Oris presents its latest limited edition inspired by a submarine volcano located at the coast of El Hierro, the most south-western of the Spanish-owned Canary Islands.
The new El Hierro Limited Edition diver’s watch tributes to the volcanic rock with its black and grey color combination, while the red featured on the bezel’s minute scale, dial and central seconds hand echoe the molten lava.
43mm diameter case is made of black DLC coated stainless steel. The watch features a tasteful combination of black and red which tributes to the volcano inspired concept. The dial sports a black tone with red accents and hands set finished in red. The ceramic inlay of the bezel also sports markings in red to suit with the rest of the watch.
The caseback of the watch is designed in solid form featuring an engraving of the volcano and its coordinates along the limited production number.
The El Hierro LE is powered by the Sellita SW200-1 based Caliber 733 automatic movement. 26 jewelled movement beats at 28800vph and offers 38h power reserve when fully wound.
The watch comes on a matching black rubber strap with the Oris-designed safety anchor and quick-adjust folding clasp.
The Oris El Hierro Limited Edition will be limited to 2000 pieces only and is available from May with a price tag of1950CHF.
