When Tudor launched its red bezel Black Bay model back in 2012, the retro looking timepiece got immediately popular and became a desired model by many watch enthusiasts. The collections is going strong in the Heritage product line in black and dark blue bezel options with its unique design which became a symbol for the brand.
Now, Tudor is preparing a revolutionary addition to the collection with a special model featuring a larger diameter Bronze case and an in-house automatic movement. The watch comes in a 43mm bronze case which is 3mm wider than the standard Black Bay models. The bakelite bezel seems to be matching perfectly with the Bronze case.
WR200M rated models sports a sapphire crystal on the front. Another important novelty about the model is the movement inside. The brand use to employ ETA 2824 movements in previous versions but, the new Black Bay features the in-house automatic Caliber MT5601. COSC certified movement offers 70h power reserve when fully wound.
The Black Bay Collection is highly appreciated by its cleverly put together strap options. Especially the Tudor made NATO straps are pretty much admired by the watch aficionados with their design and build quality. The Bronze version is being offered on a khaki colored NATO strap. Considering the patina the watch will grow in time, it looks like a spot on choice.
