Parmigiani, which is known with its characteristic designs, introduced the face-lifted version of its entry level Parmigiani Tonda Annual Calendar model.
The model was first introduced with the Tonda Quator name back in 2011. Highly acclaimed with its completely in-house movement and nicely designed appearance, the model is re-designed with some visual updates and a slightly more affordable price tag.
The new version comes in the typical Parmigiani style case measuring 40mm in diameter bearing the brand’s signature large, curved lugs. The case is equipped with scratch resistant on both sides and is available in two options as 18K white or red gold.
Parmigiani Tonda Annual Calendar is offered with a pair of dial choices as black (18K white gold case) and white (18K red gold case) that are accompanied with accents in line with the case materials. The new model features a retrograde date display, along with the day, month and moon phase. Featuring the annual calendar function, the date display accounts for months with 30 or 31 days, and only needs to be set once a year at the end of February.
The moon phase disk is a double display, showing the moon position for both the northern and southern hemispheres. The sub-dial that features the moon phase disk displays the ages of the moon. The dial of the new model is designed and finished in typical Parmigiani luxury as the brand has the famous dial manufacturer “Quadrance et Habillage” as its sister company.
Parmigiani Tonda Annual Calendar ticks with the Caliber PF339, which is produced in-house and is based on the PF331 self-winding movement modified with an annual calendar module. The movement offers 50 hours of power reserve when fully wound thanks to its double barrels.
The new model is offered on a black alligator strap that is secured with a Parmigani signed folding clasp made in line with the case material and is available for CHF 29.600,00 (in either 18k white or rose gold).
