Audemars Piguet introduced a new version of its legendary Royal Oak Collection's Frosted Gold series that was added to the product line in 2016 as a celebration of 40 years of Royal Oak for women. The model, named after its designer Carolina Bucci, is limited to 300 pieces only.
Frosted Gold, added to the Audemars Piguet catalogs in 2016, is known as a Florentine style of finish. Designed in collaboration with the fourth-generation jewelry designer Carolina Bucci, the casing and bracelet parts of the models are hand-crafted using diamond-tipped tools. The model family, which offers a dazzling appearance with a linen-like pattern, continues to expand with the newly added women's model.
The model, named after its designer Carolina Bucci, comes in a 37mm diameter classic Audemars Piguet Royal Oak case. Manufactured from 18K yellow gold, Bucci's personal favorite material, the case and the metal bracelet are decorated with frosted finish. Equipped with scratch resistant sapphire crystals on both sides and a specially engraved "Limited Edition Carolina Bucci" inscription case back, the case is water resistant to 50 meters / 5 bars.
The other remarkable feature of the model is its dial. The model features a mirror dial instead of the Royal Oak Collection classic Tapisserie dial which takes the model's dazzling glow to an upper level. The mirror dial that contrasts with Bucci's frosted finish with its smooth appearance is accompanied by gold hands and hour markers.
