Baume & Mercier, from the established brands of the Swiss Watch Industry, has added a new model to the acclaimed Clifton Collection. The new model, which includes useful complications, draws attention with its affordable price.
The newly added model to the Clifton Collection features a power reserve indicator and a second time zone indicator that may be the most useful complication in all of horology. The Clifton Collection, which is known with mostly high grade mechanical watches of Baume & Mercier, has a well-deserved reputation as an entry-level and medium-level brand and features details from the long-running history of the brand.
The Clifton GMT Power Reserve comes in a 43mm case, as in the other versions in the collection. The case, made of stainless steel, has combined matte and shiny surfaces. We are confident that the soft and simple design will show a graceful wrist presence. The case features sapphire crystal glasses on both sides and is water resistant to 50M.
Currently the model is limited to only one version that features a blue dial. Thanks to the sunray surface form, the dial looks pretty cool with the red accents and sword type hands. The Clifton GMT Power Reserve features a second time zone sub-dial at 12 o’clock, and a power reserve display at six, while the date window is located at 3 o'clock.
The Clifton GMT Power Reserve is powered with the self-winding Soprod 9035 caliber. Based on the ETA 2892 and modded by Soprod with a power reserve and GMT features, it operates at 28,800vph and offers 42 hours of power reserve when fully wound.
