De Bethune seamlessly blends the sleek, ultra-thin profile of the DB28XP with the striking blue hue of the DB28 Kind of Blue Tourbillon, resulting in the quintessential De Bethune creation. Known for its iconic design, the DB28 features the brand’s signature floating lugs, a crown at 12 o'clock, and a unique delta-shaped main plate at the dial’s center. This new futuristic timepiece, limited to just 20 pieces, incorporates the mesmerizing ballet of a tourbillon regulator.
The DB28XP Kind of Blue Tourbillon is a perfect evolution of two of De Bethune's most beloved models. The 43mm case, with a slim 9.1mm profile, is crafted from grade 5 titanium and showcases a luminous blue hue achieved through natural oxidation. The watch face, designed in true De Bethune style, features microlight engraving and Milky Way patterns created through laser micro-milling, gilded with 24-carat gold leaf.
Powered by the hand-wound De Bethune caliber DB2009v5, the watch boasts a tourbillon fitted with a silicon escape wheel, beating at 36,000 vibrations per hour. Its lightweight cage, weighing just 0.18 grams, rotates every 30 seconds and comprises 63 components. The exhibition case back reveals the intricate movement and allows for power reserve checks. The twin barrels of the DB2009v5 ensure a robust 5-day power reserve.
The DB28XP Kind of Blue Tourbillon is presented on an alligator leather strap with an alligator lining, secured with a blued titanium buckle. Priced at CHF 220,000 excluding taxes, this limited-edition masterpiece takes its place in our archive as a testament to De Bethune's innovative watchmaking.
