Graham, which is always in our scanners with its original designs and recent Vintage inspired models, continued to maintain its place among our favorite brands at the Baselworld 2018 exhibition that we left behind not long ago. Graham Chronofighter Superlight Carbon model family, which the brand has included in its product line in the past years, is under the spotlight with the Ref.2CCBK.O01A model, which draws attention with its orange accents.

Despite being quite young for Swiss Watchmaking Industry standards, Graham has its own place among the sector’s unique brands with its original designs. Graham timepieces are easily recognizable with their characteristic winding crown and chronograph pusher design that was inspired by the vintage Bomb Timer devices of early military aviation era.

It is of course not possible to define the Graham models as "suitable for everyone" as it is the case with virtually anything being bold and extra ordinary. But looking at the model alternatives in the brand’s product line, it is quite possible to come up with amazing timepieces that are tailored for watch enthusiasts who want their watches to be bold and different.

Graham Chronofighter Superlight Carbon (Ref.2CCBK.O01A) was one of the models that we spotted from the rich product line of the brand while we paid a visit to the Graham booth at Baselworld 2018.

The model is offered in a 47mm diameter case designed in line with the signature Chronofighter style. The case is made of a black super-lightweight carbon alloy. As mentioned in the model’s name, the statement is quite accurate as the entire watch weighs less than 100 grams.

The case is equipped with anti-glare treated scratch resistant sapphire crystals on both sides. The front crystal is slightly domes to support the retro spirit of the model while the one on the rear side is smoked in order to match with the black dominated concept. Caseback is engraved with "Superlight Carbon" text. The case is water resistant to 100 meters.

The characteristic winding crown and chronograph pusher set, which has become the symbol of the Chronofighter model family (or Graham itself), is made of black carbon and rubber materials. The bezel is also made of black 3K carbon as well.

The new model’s dial is also made of black 3K carbon material. Designed in Bi-Compax chronograph lay-out, the dial is accompanied by large Arabic numeral hour markers and a set of wide hands that offer utmost legibility almost at any occasion. There is an orange tachymeter scale printed around the dial. The sub-counter hands and the centre second hand are finished in bright yellow as well as the "Superlight Carbon" text. The date display is located between 8 and 9 o’clock.

The model is powered by the Caliber G1747 which is used in different models in the Graham product range. Based on the Valjoux 7750, one of the most well known automatic chronographs of the Swiss Watchmaking Industry, the movement beats at 4Hz (28.800vph) and offers a power reserve of 48 hours when fully wound.
