The Schaffhausen origin boutique brand H. Moser & Cie., introduced its latest model Endeavour Tourbillon Concept designed in line with the “less is more” motto. The new model stands out with its ultra-simple dial and high-tech Tourbillon unit.
H. Moser & Cie., which attracted a great deal of attention with their sharp criticism about the “Swiss Made” concept’s present situation and their “Swiss Mad Watch” which was released afterwards, introduced the latest and most sophisticated member of its Endeavor Collection that is known with its design details that symbolizes the brand’s DNA. The new model, which combines a very simple dial with a totally opposite Tourbillon escapement, instantly became the flagship timepiece of the collection.
The model is offered in an 18K white gold case measuring 42mm x 11.6mm which is arguably compact for a Tourbillon escapement timepiece. The case features both polished and brushed surfaces and also sports scratch resistant sapphire crystals on both sides.
Of course, one of the most interesting parts of the new model is its dial. The dial, which screams out H. Moser & Cie. with its characteristic design despite the lack of brand logo, does not feature any text. Accompanied with the signature leaf shaped hands, the dial sports a see-through part at 6 o’clock where the Tourbillon escapement can be enjoyed while working. The degraded blue dial that we remember from the Endeavor Perpetual Calendar model creates a harmonious color palette with the 18K white gold case.
The new model is powered by the brand’s in-house movement Caliber Ref. HMC 804. 29 jewels self-winding movement beats at 21600vph and offers a power reserve of 72 hours when fully wound. Equipped with an 18K solid pink gold oscillating rotor and double hairspring, the movement bears a skeletonized Tourbillon escapement located at 6 o’clock. Tourbillon unit, which is developed by the brand and designed in a modular style, is assembled and adjusted separately from the movement. Like a kind of a "plug-and-play" system, this unit also offers easy servicing thanks to this feature.
The model comes with black Kudu leather strap that is secured by a folding clasp made of 18K white gold.
H. Moser & Cie. Endeavour Tourbillon Concept (Ref.1804-0200) is limited to a span of 20 units only and offered with a MSRP of CHF 69,000.
