Min. ReadHamilton is celebrating summer with vibrant updates to its aquatic watch lineup. The Khaki Navy Scuba 40mm now comes in bold orange, yellow, and pink hues, adding a fun twist to a classic model.
This watch, though not a full-fledged dive watch, offers a water resistance of 100 meters, sufficient for most underwater activities. It's a more versatile, lightweight alternative to the robust Navy Scuba 43mm, which boasts 300 meters of water resistance. The 12.95mm steel case features a unidirectional bezel with a black aluminum insert, a screw-down crown, and a sapphire crystal.
The standout feature this year is the infusion of striking colors. The grained black dial is accented with a minute ring available in vibrant yellow, orange, or pink. The seconds hand's tip matches these colors. Despite these bold additions, the watch maintains its classic Khaki Navy Scuba look with applied markers, Super-LumiNova-filled hands, and a 13-24 scale reflecting Hamilton's military heritage. However, the date window at 4:30 might not be to everyone's liking.
Hamilton has paired these colorful dials with matching rubber straps, secured by a steel pin buckle. Inside, the watch is powered by Hamilton’s version of the Powermatic 80, the calibre H-10. This movement, an evolution of the 2824 architecture, operates at a slightly reduced frequency of 3Hz but offers an extended 80-hour power reserve and features an antimagnetic Nivachron hairspring.
