Min. ReadIn honor of the 200th anniversary of famed Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, MeisterSinger unveils the Edition Anton Bruckner, a limited-edition version of its Bell Hora hour-strike watch. Known for its single-hand display and unique chiming complication, this tribute reflects the sophistication and grace of Bruckner’s compositions.
Housed in a polished 43mm stainless steel case with 50 meters of water resistance, the watch features curved lugs and a rounded bezel for an elegant look. The fluted crown at 3 o’clock ensures easy time-setting, while a pusher at 2 o’clock activates or deactivates the chime. The solid steel caseback is engraved with Bruckner’s silhouette and limited edition details.
The dial retains the familiar layout of the Bell Hora models, with a heat-blued hand, alternating black and blue markers, and a red “30” for the half-hour. The hour indices range from 1 to 12, with an inner circle showing 13 to 24, where the keys of Bruckner’s nine symphonies replace numbers 13 to 21. His signature and a ringing bell icon sit harmoniously at 6 o’clock.
Powered by the MS Bell automatic movement, based on a Sellita SW200, the watch delivers 38 hours of power reserve and operates at 28,800 vibrations/hour. The chimes sound at every passing hour, making it both a musical and mechanical marvel.
Limited to just 50 units, this special edition comes with an ocean blue cowhide strap and unique packaging, making it a fitting homage to the legendary composer.
