Omega is under the spotlight with its limited-edition model designed for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, which was canceled due to the Covid-19 outbreak that affected the whole world.

The official timekeeping task of the postponed Olympics was given to the famous luxury watch manufacturer Omega. The brand issued two limited models to crown its historical role in the organization, Omega is under the spotlight with the Seamaster Aqua Terra Tokyo 2020 Limited Edition model.


The model in the Aqua Terra product group, which is appreciated by its design that combines both elegant and sporty accents, comes with a stainless steel case measuring 41mm in diameter. Offering a bold and sporty stance with its thick and curved lugs, which are among the design symbols of Omega, the case features scratch-resistant sapphire crystals on both sides. The Tokyo 2020 logo stands out on the screw-down and sapphire crystal display case back. The water resistance value of the case is 150 meters.

Undoubtedly, the most striking and distinguishing feature of the model is its dial. The model, which is designed to show the same performance both on land and in water, features a laser-engraved ceramic dial, which is a first in the product group. The dial, which stands out with its blue background prepared in the form of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics logo, is accompanied by triangular hour markers and sword-type hands.


The Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Tokyo 2020 Limited Edition is powered by the manufacture Caliber 8900 movement. Known for its unique operating speed at 3.5Hz (25,200vph), the automatic movement can offer up to 60 hours of power reserve when fully wound thanks to its twin-barrel design.


Limited to a span of 2020 units only, the model comes on a blue rubber strap (shown in the photos) as well as an additional stainless steel bracelet in its special presentation box.
