Min. ReadPatek Philippe introduces three new versions of chronographs with additional complications.
Patek Philippe, one of the iconic names of luxury watchmaking, introduced three new versions added to its chronograph model family. Equipped with different additional functions as well as chronograph features, the new models pay homage to the high watchmaking concept, which is the brand's main field of activity.
As underlined by Thierry Stern, the successful CEO of the long-established brand, Patek Philippe is best defined by complicated movements placed in cases made of precious metals. When we look at the popular models of recent times, we see the opposite as the Steel Nautilus craze continues at full speed. The Nautilus model with a green dial, sold through an auction, reveals the point of this madness. Is all this just a hype or, is the Patek Philippe customer profile undergoing a significant change? Of course, time will tell, but the three new models that the brand has added to its product range impress with their complications, which is the brand's main focus.
The first member of the newly introduced collection, Patek Philippe Ref. 5905/1A-001, incorporates the Flyback chronograph and annual calendar complications. The case, measuring 42mm x 14.13mm, is made of stainless steel. The steel case is waterproof up to 30 meters and available with a pair of replaceable case backs, either solid steel or sapphire crystal.
The sunray patterned olive green dial features applique hour markers made of gold and gold hands filled with phosphorus.
Caliber CH 28-520 QA 24H gives life to the new model. The automatic Flyback chronograph movement offers a power reserve of up to 55 hours when fully wound.
The stylish model comes with a three-piece stainless steel bracelet. The comfortable bracelet is secured to the wrist with a Patek Philippe folding clasp.
The second model, Patek Philippe Ref. 5930P-001, includes a world time complication in addition to the Flyback chronograph feature. The case, designed with the dimensions of 39.5mm x 12.86mm, is produced from platinum. There are sapphire crystal glasses on both sides of the case, which is waterproof up to 30 meters.
The green part in the center is surrounded by white city discs in the dial, where the appliqué hour markers made of gold and the phosphorus-filled gold hands serve.
The new model is powered by the Caliber CH 28-520 HU, equipped with an automatic Flyback chronograph and world time features. The movement, which has a day/night indicator beside the time zone display of 24 cities, offers a power reserve time of up to 55 hours when fully wound.
The new model is accompanied by a green alligator strap that matches the dial tone.
The last member of the collection, Patek Philippe Ref. 5204R-011, impresses by its Split-Seconds chronograph and perpetual calendar features. The case, which is designed with the dimensions of 40mm x 14.5mm and made of 18K rose gold, comes with two different back covers, solid gold, and a sapphire crystal display.
The sunray patterned anthracite dial features pink gold appliqué hour markers and phosphor-filled gold hands.
The new model is powered by the Caliber CHR 29-535 equipped with Split-Seconds chronograph and perpetual calendar features. The hand-wound movement offers a power reserve time of up to 65 hours.
