TAG Heuer’s relationship with Senna began in 1988, marking him as a global brand ambassador, a role he retained until his untimely passing in 1994. Commemorating the 30th anniversary of his death and the anticipated Netflix series *Senna*, TAG Heuer launches this limited edition timepiece rooted in F1 tradition and powered by cutting-edge craftsmanship.
The Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon x Senna, drawing inspiration from TAG Heuer’s recent Carrera Extreme collection, incorporates elements honoring Senna’s Brazilian heritage. Housed in a 44mm Grade 2 titanium case with a forged carbon tachymeter scale, the watch echoes Senna’s passion for speed with a bezel calibrated to 400 km/h. The bold titanium case boasts striking finishes and a lacquered green ring around the crown, representing the colors of Brazil.
Inside, the watch’s openworked dial is adorned with motorsport-inspired details. The grained black bridges evoke a racetrack’s asphalt, while the silver chequered plate references the finish flag. The chronograph counters feature a yellow ‘S’ logo and a steering wheel motif, with openworked hands in lacquered yellow matching the central seconds hand. The tourbillon, positioned at 6 o’clock, reinforces the tri-compax design with finesse.
The caseback reveals Senna’s iconic helmet image, a nod to his fearless legacy. Powered by the TH20-09 calibre, the watch’s column-wheel chronograph and tourbillon regulator ensure 65 hours of power reserve.
