TAG Heuer, which has always been involved in motor sports since its first establishment, introduced three new special editions that are inspired by the race tracks.
The first two new models introduced before the upcoming Baselworld 2018 are designed in collaboration with the brand’s latest partner Aston Martin, one of the automobile world’s legendary names. And the third model is the revamped "Gulf" version of Monaco model family, a cult member of the TAG Heuer Classics product group.
The first model introduced in the context of the brand partnership with the famous British sports car manufacturer Aston Martin, is based on the Carrera Heuer 01 platform. The new model is offered in a 45mm diameter case made of stainless steel. Designed with parallel lines on the sides and thick flat lugs, the case sports a matt black ceramic bezel with Aston Martin engraving. Both sides of the case are equipped with AR coated scratch resistant sapphire crystals.
The new model’s dial is designed with a honey comb style perforated base that is inspired by the new Aston Martin Vantage. The dial is laid-out in Tri-Compax format and accented with an Aston Martin logo located in the sub-dial at 9 o’clock.
The model comes on a black rubber and leather combined strap with exclusive embossed pattern. The strap is secured by a TAG Heuer signed folding clasp made of stainless steel.
Another Aston Martin-based model among the newly introduced models is designed by the Formula 1 platform from the brand’s popular product groups.
The model comes in a 43mm stainless steel case which is equipped with a flat scratch resistant sapphire crystal at the front face. The crystal is surrounded by a matt bezel decorated with Aston Martin Racing text. The caseback is solid stainless featuring Aston Martin Special Edition text and Aston Martin logo.
The new model features a black dial decorated with yellow accents that tribute to Aston Martin Racing’s official color tone. The sub-dial at 6 sports an Aston Martin logo and a date display.
Quartz movement model comes on a black leather strap decorated with matching yellow stitches. The strap is secured by a TAG Heuer signed pin buckle made of stainless steel.
The latest model among the new models is an updated version of the brand’s legendary Monaco "Gulf" model.
The new model is offered in the iconic Monaco style square case measuring 39mm x 39mm. Stainless steel case hosts a SunRay blue dial that is inspired by the original Gulf Edition model. There a pair of stripes in light blue and orange which tributes to the Gulf Oil official colors. Contrasting white sub-dials are place at 3 and 9, while the date display is located at 6 o’clock.
The new model ticks with the self-winding Bi-Compax chronograph Caliber 11 and comes on a perforated blue strap adorned with matching orange stitching. The strap is secured by a stainless steel folding clasp with classic Heuer logo.
