Ulysse Nardin introduced the face-lifted version of its iconic Diver Chronometer Collection. The new model family includes both standard and limited edition versions.
Maxi Marine Diver Chronometer Collection, which literally changed the fate of the brand with its successful sales figures since its debut, is renewed with fresh updates that are in-line with the brands back to basics motto. The new series, which still stays loyal to the original Marine Chronometer DNA, includes for different models, two of which are limited edition versions.
The case designed for the new collection is again slightly oversized like the previous generation with a 44mm diameter. However, thanks to its re-designed lugs and bezel, the collection’s dive watch identity is moved to the fore more than ever. Uni-directional bezel’s Ulysse Nardin classic coin edge form is replaced with a large rider tab style bezel. The case, which is water resistant to 300 meters that allows professional use as well, is equipped with an inner AR coated sapphire crystal on the front face and a solid or a see-through case back (depending on the model) at the rear face.
Another largely updated part of the new design is the dial. Designed in the typical Marine Chronometer lay-out, details such as small seconds, date window and power reserve indicator remain in the places we are familiar with from the previous models. However, the dial background that we mostly see with wave pattern and sometimes with shark figures now comes in a simple grainy surface. Equipped with revamped arms and indexes, the dials successfully put the simple and functional design language of the new collection into the forefront.
All the models in the new collection are powered by the brands manufacture movement Caliber UN-118, which was also used in other modern models like Marine 1854 and Marine Torpilleur models. Equipped with a silicone balance which was introduced to the luxury watchmaking industry by Ulysse Nardin, self-winding movement beats at a frequency of 4Hz (28.800vph) and offers a 60-hour power reserve when fully wound.
The new models are offered on brand classic multi-piece rubber straps with metal links in black, blue or white (depending on the model). The straps are secured by Ulysse Nardin signed pin buckles.
