Min. ReadZenith expanded the groundbreaking Defy El Primero 21 model with the newly models offered in 18K pink gold, titanium with blue accents and in black ceramic as well as two new versions for the Pilot Cronometro Tipo CP-2 including a bronze model.
The first model from the well-established brand’s 2018 novelties comes from the groundbreaking Defy El Primero 21 model family. The model, which is known to have the world’s most precise mechanical chronograph caliber, is now offered in 18K pink gold.
The new model comes in an 18K pink gold case measuring 44mm in diameter and 14.50mm in height. Based on the first model in terms of visual design, the case is equipped with double AR coated scratch resistant sapphire crystals on both sides and it is water resistant to 100 meters. The case is matched with a solid 18K pink gold bracelet or a black rubber lining brown alligator strap secured by a Zenith signed folding clasp made of titanium and 18K pink gold.
The model is powered by the brand’s revolutionary movement Caliber El Primero 9004. The movement, which is equipped with two separate escapements, can measure up to 1 / 100th of a second with its chronograph module and also offers a power reserve of 50 hours when fully wound.
It is also worth noting that the new models of the Defy El Primero 21 family in the 2018 novelties of the brand are not limited to these two versions only. In addition to the 18K pink gold versions, the model family had two more new versions as in recent years’ popular alternative material black ceramic and in blue accented titanium.
Another novelty from Zenith comes from the Pilot Cronometro Tipo CP-2 family that the brand has added to the current collection in 2016. The legendary model, which was produced by Zenith in the 1960s exclusively for the Italian Army and entered the country via A. Cairelli who was the brand’s Rome dealership at the time, is introduced to with its two new versions.
The new models are powered by an upgraded Flyback chronograph movement and a couple of two new case options including the highly popular bronze and aged-look stainless steel.
Both versions are offered in 43mm diameter cases with a total height of 12.85mm. Equipped with double AR coated scratch-resistant sapphire crystals on both sides and a diver’s bezel on the front side, the cases are water resistant to 100 meters.
