Zenith, introduced a set of nine new models to be launched at the SIAR (Salón Internacional Alta Relojería), which is known as the most important Latin American luxury watch show.
Besides the highly mentioned SIHH and Baselword, there is the SIAR (Salón Internacional Alta Relojería), a trade show about luxury watches exclusive to Latin America. The show is being held in Mexico since 2006. This year the show will be taking place from October 16 to 18.
The luxury watchmaker Zenith is among the brands that offer special timepieces exclusive to the trade show with a set of nine iterations based on its highly acclaimed Defy Zero G.
The collection offers three base versions of the Zero G, and each one is offered in a choice of titanium, yellow gold, or rose gold. They all are offered in the same 44mm case with a matching bracelet and clasp, and powered by hand-wound Caliber El Primero 8812. A manufacture movement with an impressive 50-hour power reserve and a stunning gimbal-mounted escapement.
The versions differentiate from each other by the finish of each case. Exclusively engraved to refer Mexican culture, the first version depicts the Catholic image of the Virgin Mary, which is sacralized within the Minor Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City. The second version tributes to the Mexican Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos), featuring skull motifs and Aztec-style decorations. The last version offers skull and cross bone figure inspired by the Jolly Roger of pirates.
Each case finished in slightly aged look in order to match with the historic themes applied while the dials are accented in the colors of Mexico featuring green, white and red details.
