The sixth model from the collection that was exclusively designed to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Lange 1 fascinates with its beautiful moon phase indicator.
Lange 1's birthday celebration continues with brand new models. Saxon brand's sixth special edition watch, Lange 1 Moon Phase 25th Anniversary, met with watch lovers. Available in the same silver and blue theme as the previous five models, the watch is the second in the anniversary series to have a moon phase indicator.
Lange 1 Moon Phase is a limited production timepiece like the previous models. Limited to a span of 25 units only, the model comes with an 18K white gold case, a vivid blue dial and a movement that is exclusively handcrafted for the occasion. This anniversary timepiece is modeled on the 2017 Lange 1 Moon Phase model that was powered by the Caliber L121.3, which is also equipped with a day-night display in addition to the moon phase indicator.
A. Lange & Söhne portrays the Moon with a bright blue sky during the day and a dark blue sky covered with silver stars at night. This feature is not only a poetic interpretation. This binary display is also useful for the wearer while setting the watch. As with all moon phase indicator Lange models that have been in the collection since 2002, the accuracy of the Moon cycles is flawless. This function to be re-adjusted only once in every 122.6 years.
The 18K white gold case is the same as the 2017 model, measuring 38.5mm in diameter and 10.2mm in height. Sapphire crystals cover the front and rear faces. The winding crown is located at 3 o'clock while the pusher is placed at 11 o'clock.
The dial pattern has not changed much like the classic off-centered configuration and the symbolic large Lange date window remains the same. Nevertheless, of course, as the sixth member of the exclusive Lange 1 25th year anniversary series, it also has different touches. The hour, minute, second and power reserve hands are flame blued. The same color tone is also used in numbers, letters, and numbers indicating the date and in the day and night skies of the moon phase disc.
Another feature that distinguishes the watch from the recent models is that no phosphorus material is used in the hands for hour, minute and power reserve functions.
When you turn the back of the watch, you see the three-quarter plate made of German silver that is embellished with Glashütte patterns and a hand-carved balance cock. Just like the other 25th anniversary models, this model has blue accents on the balance cock and is decorated with number 25.
The hand-wound Caliber L121.3 offers a 72-hour power reserve when fully wound.
This special watch is complemented by a handcrafted blue alligator strap that is secured by an 18K white gold folding clasp. MSRP is 43,300 EUR.
