The TimeWalker Collection is one of the most interesting innovations of the SIHH 2017 fair, with three different chronograph models and a standard version for those who want to feel the racing spirit.
With the support of Minerva, the legendary movement manufacturer, Montblanc, which continues its full-fledged rise, took its place among the stars of the fair.
80 years after the release of the 1/100 seconds chronograph in 1936 by Minerva engineers, Montblanc issued a new chronograph timepiece capable of measuring 1/1000 seconds.
The new model’s DLC coated titanium case measures 46mm x 17.34mm and sports sapphire crystals on both sides. The watch is water resistant to 30 meters and limited to 18 pieces only.
The model is powered with the Caliber MB 66.26 by Minerva, which is a very special movement with extraordinary technical features. The caliber, which can be counted as large by its 38.4mm x 10.6mm dimensions, consists of 472 pieces. The hand-wound mechanism offers 100 hours of power reserve for time keeping and 45 minutes of use for chronograph when it’s fully wound. The decoration of the double balance (beating at 18000vph and 36000vph) is fully applied by hand.
Another limited-edition chronograph introduced by the brand at SIHH 2017 is the TimeWalker Chronograph Rally Timer Counter Limited Edition. Limited to 100 pieces only, the model comes with a 50mm x 15.2mm stainless steel case. Inspired by the original Minerva chronograph, the retro-styled case is supported by sapphire crystal glasses and offers a waterproof rating of 30M.
The watch, with its hand-wound and fully in-house built Minerva Caliber Ref.16.29, has the same bi-compax lay-out like the vintage chronographs with a relatively slow ticking second hand at 18000vph.
Another chronograph added to the collection is offered on a stainless steel or DLC coated stainless steel case with measuring 43mm x 15.2mm with a water resistance of 100 meters.
The new models, which are powered up by the brand’s in-house automatic Caliber Ref. MB 25.03 (with GMT complication) and MB 25.07 movements, will be presented with two different dial options, black and gray.
The last and the most modest member of the collection come out with a case measuring 41mm x 11.38mm. Sapphire crystal, 100 meter waterproof value, in-house automatic Caliber Ref. MB 24.17 mechanism, leather strap or stainless steel bracelet options and black or silver dial alternatives are the main features of the model.
