Aerowatch, a boutique watchmaker represented by Pırlant from the well established brands of the watch industry in Turkey, took part in our pages with a special production model dedicated to Turkey.
When it comes to Turkey-themed watches, Aerowatch is certainly not the first brand to design models for this lap. You can take a look at the models produced earlier from the news of "…" in Horobox.
The new model is offered in two different cases as stainless steel and pink gold PVD. Measuring 43mm in diameter and 11.50mm in height, the case offers an optimum size considering today’s standards. The watch is equipped with a scratch resistant sapphire crystal on the front face while the rear side is covered with a solid caseback featuring the Turkish Flag and limited production information. The case is water resistant to 50 meters.
For the two versions in the collection, the same navy blue dials were preferred. In addition to the Turkish Flag, which covers a large part of the dial, the name of the day that is arranged in Turkish in the retrograde style, is the foreground of the thematic feature of the model. It is possible to say that the date window, which is designed in Big Date style, shows the dial a bit too busy, but it is obvious that it is a detail that can be ignored for such a visual design oriented timepiece. The sub dial located at 6 o’clock hosts the small seconds function.
The only -relatively- weak point for the model is its movement. The model is powered by the tested and approved Ronda 7004 P Quartz which has proven itself with its sturdiness. It is certainly not a bad choice, but a mechanical caliber in such a special timepiece would surely make watch enthusiasts much happier.
Both models come with a dark blue crocodile leather strap compatible with the dial color. The straps are secured by stainless steel or pink gold PVD coated buckles depending on the version.
Each model is limited to 99 units only and offered for sale with a price tag of TL 4850.00. They can be purchased through Pırlant stores and www.pirlant.com.tr.
