Min. ReadAlpina, known for its robust sports watches, introduces a more compact 39mm version of its Alpiner Extreme Automatic collection. Originally designed in 41mm cases, the Alpiner Extreme series was revamped in 2022 and expanded to include various models, including a regulator dial and chronograph. Now, with its reduced size, the latest 39mm Alpiner Extreme opens the door to more wrist sizes while maintaining its durability.
The three new models feature a 39mm diameter, 40.5mm length, and 11.5mm height. The 200m water-resistant case, with its squared base and rounded edges, is topped by a round bezel secured with six screws, bearing Alpina’s signature triangle motif. Finishing details include vertical brushing on the bezel, circular brushing on the case, and polished accents on the angles, screws, and bumpers. The screw-down crown features a polished finish and a rubber grip that matches the dial.
Available in three dial colors—blue, green, and a new beige—the beige version stands out with its option for either an integrated steel bracelet or a matching beige rubber strap. The blue and green models come exclusively with steel bracelets. All dials display Alpina's iconic triangle pattern, silver-colored indices, a date window at 3 o’clock, and luminescent hands and markers for enhanced visibility.
Powered by the reliable AL-525 automatic movement (base Sellita SW200), the 39mm Alpiner Extreme beats at 28,800vph and offers a power reserve of 38 hours. The movement is visible through its custom black asymmetrical rotor, a signature touch of Alpina.
Each model includes a stainless steel bracelet with brushed and polished finishes, a folding clasp, and push buttons, while the beige variant also offers the versatility of a rubber strap.
