Min. ReadAlpina introduces two new skeletonized versions of its Alpiner Extreme Automatic. Known for its rugged, adventure-ready designs, the Alpiner Extreme line now offers a more compact case size and an openworked dial. The new models come in two variations: a sleek monochromatic steel version and a blue-accented edition with a rubber strap.
The case, now reduced to 39mm x 40.5mm with a thickness of 11.5mm, retains the iconic cushion shape and three-part construction. The round bezel with six exposed screws, signature Alpina triangle, and flanked crown guards remain, ensuring a water resistance of 200 meters. The surfaces feature a sporty brushed finish, while the bevels and screws are polished for contrast. The blue-accented model also sports a blue rubber-clad crown and matching strap.
Both models showcase openworked dials, revealing the Swiss automatic movement (Sellita-based) beneath. The skeletonized bridges expose key components such as the barrel, mainspring, and escapement, while polished hands filled with luminescent material float above the dial. The monochromatic version boasts varying textures in 50 shades of grey, while the blue version adds a vibrant touch with its flange.
The sapphire crystal caseback reveals the automatic calibre AL-520, based on the Sellita SW200-1, with a custom black rotor, operating at 28,800vph, and offering a power reserve of 38 hours.
Prices: EUR 2,695 for the steel bracelet version, EUR 2,395 for the blue-accented model.
