“The Bivers Launch Their First Three-Hand Automatic Watch: The Biver Automatique”
Following his retirement from LVMH, Jean-Claude Biver, together with his son Pierre, launched their family-owned watch brand in 2023. The brand’s debut piece, the Biver Carillon Tourbillon, garnered significant attention with its half-million Swiss Franc price tag. Now, Biver Watches introduces a more stripped-down model, the **Biver Automatique** – a classic three-hand automatic timepiece.
Crafted in brushed and polished rose gold or platinum, the **Biver Automatique** features a 39mm case, 10mm thickness, and 80m water resistance. The design, with angular lugs and a slightly raised crystal, blends modern and vintage elements. Its dial, in 18k white or rose gold, boasts engraved markers, a raised railtrack, and stunning gold hands, giving it depth and elegance.
While the exterior is minimalist, the intricate movement inside tells a different story. The **JCB-003** micro-rotor calibre, developed with Dubois-Depraz, is Biver's first in-house base movement. The back reveals seven bridges, serpentine-spoke wheels, and exquisite decorations such as clous de Paris, anglage, and 22k gold micro-rotor engraving. The 30.6mm calibre operates at 25,200 vibrations/hour, with a 65-hour power reserve, zero-reset mechanism, and a balance wheel crafted by Precision Engineering AG.
Available with a leather strap or a 5-row metal bracelet with ceramic inserts, the Biver Automatique offers both luxury and comfort. While the solid gold dial models will be produced regularly, limited-edition stone dials featuring Obsidian (platinum case) and Pietersite (rose gold case) will be part of the exclusive Atelier collection.
Pricing starts at CHF 75,000 for the rose gold version, offering collectors a highly exclusive, limited-production timepiece.
