Min. ReadChopard introduced its seventh model, designed in collaboration with legendary six-time LeMans champion racing driver Jacky Ickx and brand co-chairman Karl-Friedrich Scheufele. Inspired by the distinctive blue-coloured helmets worn by Ickx since 1972, the new Mille Miglia chronograph once again captures the essence of the series.
The new model comes with a sporty case made of Lucent Steel A223, the brand's patented stainless steel alloy. Designed with a diameter of 40.5mm and a height of 12.88mm, the stylish case has scratch-resistant sapphire crystals on both sides. The case, accompanied by piston-style chronograph pushers and a large winding crown, is water resistant up to 50 meters. In the bi-color version of the same model, the bezel, chronograph pushers, and crown are made of 18K Ethical Gold yellow gold alloy.
The stylish model comes with a lacquered dial designed in a midnight blue tone. The dial, where large numeral indices and thick hands show the time, reinforces the sporty theme of the model with its Tri-Compax chronograph layout. In the Bi-Color version, all hands are made of yellow gold.
The new models are powered by an ETA A322-11 based automatic chronograph movement. The movement, which offers 54 hours of power reserve when fully wound, can be viewed through the sapphire crystal case back with helmet illustration.
The Dunlop rubber-patterned rubber strap and steel buckle that we remember from other models are also present in this model.
