Let’s take a quick look to the 2016 release from Baume & Mercier, the Clifton Chronograph Complete Calendar.
Initially launched at 2013, the Clifton is highly praised since the beginning by it’s beautiful designs and affordable price tags. The product range includes very hi-end time pieces like Clifton Tourbillon which was launched at 2014 but the majority of the models vary between 3000,00 USD to 7000,00 USD making those stunning watches available to many watch aficionados.
43mm x 12mm steel case, automatic mechanical caliber (Valjoux 7751 base) with chronograph and calendar functions, on alligator strap with triple folding clasp.
As shown above, the day of week and month windows are successfully housed with the chronograph minute sub dial 6 o’clock. The center-located chronograph seconds hand is marked with a striking blue tone which fits with the chronograph hour and minutes sub dial hands in perfect visual appearance. There is also a 24h indicator located at 9 o’clock. The date chapter moves around the outer edge of the dial, as indicated by the center located, red pointed hand.
As the name speaks for itself, the movement automatically adjusts the date for 30 and 31 day months by simply adjusting the calendar once per year only at the end of February.
Considering the perpetual calendar models from major brands, this stunning time piece offers almost the same function with a fraction of value. We would strongly suggest this model to everyone who is in search for an affordable multi function mechanical watch from a well known Swiss brand.
