Having undergone a comprehensive update for the first time after a long time, the Da Vinci Collection took its place among SIHH 2017’s most talked-about novelties with its complicated models that we are accustomed to see, as well as an acclaimed entry-level version.
As we mentioned in our previous articles, The Da Vinci Collection turned out to be the IWC’s focus product line of the year. The new collection, which attracted great acclaim with its complicated versions especially in male models, received a very successful response with its simple yet elegant and functional women’s models. The IWC Da Vinci Automatic 40mm was one of the remarkable models in the collection as it presented its new face to watch enthusiasts at SIHH 2017.
The model, which is similar to the popular model released in the 1990s, the Da Vinci SL is offered in a classic style stainless steel case with a diameter of 40mm, and is appreciated with its elegant and modest design. The model is offered with two dial options: silver and gray. The strap choices are black alligator or a stainless steel bracelet.
The IWC Da Vinci Automatic 40mm model is powered with the Caliber Ref.35111. The movement, is based on the Sellita SW 300 that we see in a number of entry level Swiss automatics, and seems to be one of the more important features to make the model affordable.
