IWC Schaffhausen Ingenieur Automatic 40 Green Dial

IWC Schaffhausen introduces the special edition Ingenieur Automatic 40 with a striking green dial, limited to just 1,000 pieces. This model draws inspiration from the watch worn by Sonny Hayes, the main character in the upcoming Apple Original Film “F1® THE MOVIE”. Played by Brad Pitt, Sonny Hayes sports a customized version of the Ingenieur SL Reference 1832, featuring a green dial, which reflects his signature color.

“F1® THE MOVIE” is one of the most highly anticipated films of 2025. Shot with actual race cars and set against real Grand Prix™ events, the film promises to deliver an adrenaline-packed cinematic experience. Brad Pitt stars as Sonny Hayes, a former F1™ driver who returns to the sport. The custom-made watch featured in the movie, inspired by the Ingenieur SL, is the result of a collaboration between IWC Schaffhausen, Brad Pitt, and Cloister Watch Company, renowned for crafting bespoke timepieces.

The new Ingenieur Automatic 40 (Ref. IW328908) has a stainless steel case and bracelet, housing a green dial with a "Grid" pattern. The dial features gold-plated appliques and hands, which are filled with Super-LumiNova® for optimal legibility. The watch retains the signature Ingenieur design with a bezel fastened by five functional screws. Comfort is ensured by an integrated bracelet with a butterfly folding clasp. Powering the timepiece is the IWC-manufactured 32111 calibre, offering a 120-hour power reserve and 10 bar water resistance. As with all Ingenieur models, a soft-iron inner case shields the movement from magnetic fields.
