Min. ReadMontblanc’s Star Legacy collection, first launched in 1997, pays homage to the brand’s iconic star logo, inspired by Mont Blanc’s snow-capped peak. This year, Montblanc introduces two new editions with striking green guilloché-style dials: the Automatic Date and the Chronograph Day-Date.
Both models feature a 43mm stainless steel case, reminiscent of Minerva pocket watches from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The cases are elegantly polished with satin-brushed sides and stepped lugs. The Automatic Date stands at 11mm thick, while the Chronograph is 14.76mm thick. Both have a domed sapphire crystal and a sapphire case back, with water resistance up to 50 meters. The onion crowns are adorned with the white Montblanc star logo.
The green dials are adorned with a unique star-shaped guilloché pattern, achieved through a special stamping process. The Roman numerals are rhodium-plated and treated with Super-LumiNova, paired with sword-shaped hands. The flange features a sunray-brushed finish with a precision track, white markers, and luminescent dots.
The Automatic Date model features a green date window at 3 o’clock. It is powered by the Sellita SW200-1 movement, offering a 38-hour power reserve. The Chronograph Day-Date includes a 12-hour and 30-minute totalizer, a day and date display at 3 o’clock, and a Montblanc star in the small seconds sub-dial. It uses the Sellita SW500-1 movement, providing a 42-hour power reserve.
Both models come with green calfskin leather straps, embossed with an alligator print, and a steel triple-folding clasp. They are also available with an interchangeable steel bracelet. Limited to 800 pieces each, these new Star Legacy editions embody Montblanc’s blend of tradition and innovation.
