Parmigiani presented its latest Dual Time Zone featured model offered in the brand’s classic Parmigiani style case.
Parmigiani, one of the leading boutique brands in the industry, was acclaimed for its new model Parmigiani Toric Hemispheres Retrograde with a user friendly and precise second time zone feature.
The model’s case is designed in classic Parmigiani style which carried the brand’s name first. Offered in 18K pink gold only, the case sports sapphire crystals on both sides. Due to the large second time zone module embedded to the movement, the case measures a bit large with 42.8mm in diameter. The winding crowns are located at the right side of the case and the front face features the classic fluted bezel.
The dial of the model has a very unique layout. The surface of the dial is prepared in ivory tone. The black indices create a balanced contrast for better reading. The hand set is designed in traditional javelin style. The dial features a pair of sub-counters at 1 and 6 o’clock designed to read the 12/24H indication for each time zone individually. The second time zone sub-dial is located at 12 o’clock. The date feature is read through a pointer around the scale located at the lower half of the dial. Unlike the standard second time-zone movements, which can move back and forth at intervals of one hour, the Parmigiani Toric Hemispheres Retrograde model features an advanced GMT module with minute-based adjustments.
The model is powered by the Caliber Ref. PF317. The self-winding movement is a modified version of the brand’s in-house automatic Caliber Ref. 331 with a second time zone module designed by the famous complication specialist Agenhor in Geneva. The power reserve time is 50h when fully wound.
The new model comes on a black alligator strap and an 18K pink gold clasp. The selling price is CHF 29,500.
