Rado True Thinline Anima (Ref. R27112312)

Combination of air, breath, and soul... Rado True Thinline Anima melts both the technology and the fun side of watch art in the same pot with its olive green monobloc case and skeletonized dial.

Watchmaking may mean luxury steel watches, white gold or silver dials, and gold cases for you... I don't know about you, but I also care about the fun part of the case. For this reason, as I see the bracelets and cases in different colors and examine the different designs, I am filled with great enthusiasm. I would like to present one of the models that make me so happy lately, Rado True Thinline Anima.

True Thinline Anima, which is a guest on our Hands-On page with its matt olive-green color, is made of high-tech ceramic material. We previously shared the article "What is This Ceramic?" and brought you the journey of this material. Nevertheless, I would like to give a summary. The ceramic material used for the watches is quite different from the ceramic we use in daily life. Engineers use pure materials and metal compounds to get this lightweight, scratch-resistant material. Some brands also combine powder raw materials with different blends to create different variants of ceramic.

This material, which is not affected by heat, moisture, and even acid, shrinks by approximately one-third while sintering, and both this process and the process of coloring the ceramics require individual mastery. And one of the elements that make Anima so exciting is the matte olive-green color.

Rado, the pioneer of ceramics and colored ceramics, made its name as 'Master of Materials' with its design-led collections such as 'Ceramos'. Rado True Thinline Anima, produced only in 2020, is the result of this experience. The model with a 40mm case diameter is one of the most enjoyable choices for both men and women. Water-resistant up to 30 meters, the case has an anti-reflective coated sapphire crystal on the front and back of the case.

In the 'open heart' design dial of the model, the skeleton calendar disk is immediately noticeable, and the date window is at 6 o'clock. The bridge and plates made of black anodized aluminum of the automatic movement, which provides a 64-hour power reserve, can be monitored through the dial.

This eye-catching model is complemented by a high-tech ceramic (Ref. 07.05048) bracelet in the same color as the case.
