Known for its fusion of luxury and adventure, the Gumball 3000 rally, launched in 1999, pushes supercars and celebrities to their limits over 3,000 miles of intense journey. The 2024 rally traverses Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, and Malaysia, ending at the Singapore F1 Grand Prix.
Maximillian Cooper, Gumball 3000's founder, says, “The Freak X, like the rally, is bold and unconventional.” To mark this milestone, Ulysse Nardin has crafted the Freak X Gumball 3000 Edition, a watch that defies the norm. Its 43mm black DLC titanium case, combined with matte black carbonium accents, embodies sleek durability. Orange touches—a vibrant Delugs rubber strap and iridescent Super-LumiNova indicators—add dynamic flair. The caseback proudly displays the Gumball 3000 logo.
Powered by the UN-230 calibre, the Freak X features a rotating wheel to indicate hours and a baguette-shaped minute carrousel with an oversized silicon balance wheel. It operates at a 3Hz frequency and offers a 72-hour power reserve. Unlike previous Freak models, the Freak X includes a standard crown for easy operation.
Limited to 150 pieces, this exclusive edition will first be available to Gumball participants, with the option to customize the watch to match their team number.
