Arnold and Son x Chronopassion Double Tourbillon Jasper Dial

Arnold & Son continues to explore the boundaries of haute horlogerie with its latest unique creation in collaboration with Parisian retailer Chronopassion. The Double Tourbillon “Landscape” brings together two independently adjustable time zones, twin tourbillons, and a dial crafted from natural mineral stone, all housed within a refined 18k white gold case.

The roots of this creation trace back to 2014, when Arnold & Son celebrated 250 years of John Arnold’s legacy with the introduction of the Double Tourbillon Escapement. This watch concept breaks new ground by featuring two completely independent gear trains and tourbillons—each governing its own time display. The resulting duality allows for precise and separate timekeeping, making it one of the rare true dual-time mechanisms on the market.

For the 2025 edition, Chronopassion contributes its distinctive vision by selecting a central dial made of landscape jasper, a mineral known for its earthy tones and desert-like textures. This natural material transforms each piece into a one-of-a-kind work of art. Two white opal sub-dials sit symmetrically at 12 and 6 o’clock—Roman numerals above for local time, Arabic numerals below for home time. Each dial operates independently, with separate crowns at 2 and 7 o’clock enabling individual adjustments down to the minute.

Positioned at 3 and 9 o’clock are two generous apertures showcasing the twin tourbillons. These high-precision regulators appear suspended beneath sculptural bridges in white gold, crafted with both polished and satin-brushed surfaces. This architectural approach not only enhances visual balance but also reveals the mechanical beauty beneath.

The heart of the watch is the manually wound calibre A\&S8513, developed in partnership with La Joux-Perret. This haute horlogerie movement features two mainspring barrels, two entirely separate gear trains, and provides a robust 90-hour power reserve. Operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour, the calibre also stands out for its refined decoration: NAC-coated bridges, hand-chamfered edges, circular graining, Côtes de Genève finishing, and white gold chatons.

A desert beige alligator leather strap lined in blue completes the piece, fastened by a white gold folding clasp. The Arnold & Son x Chronopassion Double Tourbillon “Landscape” is a truly singular creation available exclusively through Chronopassion in Paris, with pricing provided upon request.
