Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Calibre 321 Platinum

Omega has once again managed to attract attention with its new limited edition model equipped with Caliber 321. The new model dazzles with its platinum case and bracelet.

The watch maintains the familiar asymmetrical 42mm Moonwatch case with lyre lugs and a 47.6mm lug-to-lug length. It features a "sapphire sandwich" construction and is crafted from Pt950Au20 platinum, an alloy infused with gold. The bezel is made of black ceramic with a white enamel tachymeter scale, closely resembling its stainless steel counterpart.

The dial retains its striking black onyx base, complemented by three sub-dials made from lunar meteorite. The hands, applied markers, and vintage Omega logo are crafted from 18k polished white gold. The most significant update is the bracelet, designed in a flat-link style and constructed from the same platinum alloy as the case, replacing the black leather strap option introduced in 2019.

Inside, the Speedmaster houses the historically significant Calibre 321. This hand-wound movement is a meticulous reproduction of the original, featuring a column-wheel and horizontal clutch architecture with a 2.5Hz frequency. However, the power reserve has been improved to 55 hours. The movement is coated in Sedna gold PVD, emulating the vintage aesthetic while offering enhanced finishing compared to the modern Co-Axial Calibre 3861.
