Patek Philippe is introducing a new chapter in its Calatrava collection with the Ref. 5328G-001, a timepiece powered by an advanced hand-wound movement boasting an impressive eight-day power reserve. This watch is not just about aesthetics—it is housing the newly developed caliber 31-505 8J PS IRM CI J, a mechanical marvel designed for longevity and precision.

At first glance, the 5328G shares a design language with the 5236G, featuring a white gold case with a finely detailed hobnail bezel. The textured dial and syringe hands give the watch a vintage-inspired elegance, while modern mechanics elevate its performance.

Functionally, the watch is incorporating an instantaneous jumping day display via an aperture and a date indicator by hand. A large power reserve indicator at 12 o’clock is prominently showcasing the remaining energy, revealing its true engineering highlight—an eight-day reserve, supported by two barrels arranged in series. Interestingly, an additional ninth day of power is held in reserve.

One of the most remarkable features of this timepiece is its use of Patek Philippe’s Pulsomax escapement in Silinvar, originally developed for the brand’s Advanced Research series.
