The brand's adventure for diver’s watches, which began with the patent of the “watertight” case taken in 1892 under the leadership of Edouard Heuer, met with the military appearance through a new collection introduced in Baselworld 2017. Since 2003, the brand has continued to produce its diver’s watches under the Aquaracer collection.

The brand's adventure for diver’s watches, which began with the patent of the “watertight” case taken in 1892 under the leadership of Edouard Heuer, met with the military appearance through a new collection introduced in Baselworld 2017.

The new models are offered in 43mm diameter cases which are water resistant to 300 meters. The cases are made of Grade 2 titanium for durability and wearing comfort. In order to achieve the military look, the cases are finished in black PVD with micro-blasted surface form. The case sports a double AR coated scratch proof sapphire on the front side surrounded by a uni-directional diver’s bezel made of fine ceramics.

There are two different versions in the new collection. The “Khaki” one comes with a khaki green dial accompanied with black framed and gray SuperLuminova coated hands and indices. The “Arctic” version is offered with a blue camouflage pattern dial and matching hands and indices filled with gray SuperLuminova. Thanks to the phosphor fillings, both versions offer utmost legibility in dark environments. However it’s hard to say the same for the Arctic version in normal conditions as the SuperLuminova fillings of the hand and indices blend with the dial’s camouflage pattern making to read the watch a little difficult under certain angles of light.

The new models are powered by the TAG Heuer Caliber 5. Self-winding movement beats at 4Hz and offers 38 hours of power reserve when fully wound.

Both models come with NATO-style fabric straps. The "Khaki" model features a matching khaki colored strap, while the "Arctic" model features a camouflage pattern in the same form as the camouflage pattern on the screen. Let's also add that the camouflage pattern on the strap in the Arctic version is a directly woven, not printed. Both straps are secured with matte stainless steel buckles.
